Stellar Recruitment is recruiting for a national leader in fuel storage and transfer solutions; servicing the mining, civil, transport, and agriculture sectors. Their innovative approach to fuel systems, backed by quality engineering and a strong safety culture, has positioned us as a trusted partner across Australia. They are actively looking to grow their Port Hedland team and are currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter to support ongoing projects specifically in the hydrocarbons space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of fixed plant assets and determine repair action when required
- Carry out fixed plan maintenance relevant hydrocarbon plant and fuel pumps
- Complete preventative and corrective maintenance for all equipment
- Isolate equipment for maintenance and operational tasks
- Arrange for suitable equipment and materials to be available and appropriate allocation of resources to achieve planned outcomes
- Relevant trade qualification (mechanical fitter, diesel fitter, etc.)
- Previous mining experience (highly desirable)
- Experience in mechanical aspects of fuel facilities and fuel management systems highly desirable
- The ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across all levels of the company as well as with customers and suppliers
- The ability to confidently present recommendations and ideas internally and externally
- Highly competitive annual salary - negotiable based on experience
