Stellar is excited to be partnering with a leading Energy and Resources company to recruit their Manager – Supply Chain Optimisation
  
The is a new position that will lead the transformation and continuous improvement of supply chain processes, systems, and data across Australia. This role offers the chance to shape the future of supply operations, optimise the systems, and drive strategic initiatives that enhance efficiency, data accuracy, and decision-making across multiple sites.
  
Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of standardised supply chain processes across multiple major assets.
  • Drive the functional optimisation of systems including Coupa and SAP, ensuring maximum automation, accuracy, and efficiency in procurement and supply processes.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, governance frameworks, and best-practice policies.
  • Oversee supply chain performance reporting, KPI development, and analytics to support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage supplier onboarding, compliance, and performance through a robust Supplier Relationship Management framework.
  • Optimise inventory management strategies, ensuring accurate data, appropriate stock levels, and efficient working capital utilisation.
  • Lead change management initiatives, embedding new systems, processes, and behaviours across the supply organisation.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and system partners to drive coordinated improvement.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering capability, ownership, and succession readiness. 
Key qualifications and experience:
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in senior supply chain leadership in the mining/resources/energy sector.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership position on major procurement transformation and optimisation initiatives.
  • Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business, Commerce, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in ERP and procurement system integration, preferably Coupa and SAP.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with experience using performance management tools.
  • Exposure to digital transformation, automation, and advanced analytics projects within supply chain contexts.
  • Strong commercial acumen and deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain, sourcing strategies, and inventory management.
  • Exceptional leadership and change management capabilities, able to influence senior stakeholders and lead multi-site initiatives.
