About the Role
We’re partnered with a respected mining organisation who operates on a major mine site in the Emerald Region. With continued growth and key projects ahead, they’re seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager
to lead the site HR function and deliver outcomes across culture, capability, and performance.
This role reports directly to the General Manager People
and has a dotted line to the Site General Manager. You’ll also sit on the Site Leadership Team, leading a small, capable HR team. This is a contract position with possibly of exceeding 12 months coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing HR team
- Partner with site leaders to align people strategy with business objectives
- Oversee ER/IR, including enterprise agreement preparation and support
- Drive workforce planning, capability development, and succession initiatives
- Champion engagement, culture, wellbeing, and safety programs
- Ensure compliant and consistent HR practices across site operations
- Proven HR leadership in operational environments
- Strong ER/IR knowledge and confidence with Australian employment legislation
- Collaborative, influential, and hands-on leader
- Excellent communicator able to engage at all levels
- Mining or heavy industry experience is essential
- Site-based leadership role with influence across people and culture strategy
- FIFO from Brisbane to Emerald with competitive remuneration
- Supportive executive group and an established HR team in place
