MACH Energy is a growing mining company based out of Newcastle. The business owns the successful Mount Pleasant Operation near Muswellbrook – which is a long mine life open pit coal mine.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced People & Culture Manager to join our team. Reporting to the General Manager People & Culture, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including recruitment, employee relations, industrial relations, performance management, and employee development. You will support the corporate team in Newcastle along with our operational team in Muswellbrook.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end employee lifecycle activities including attraction, selection & recruitment, performance management, remuneration, benefits & payroll, learning and development, employee and industrial relations and employee wellbeing.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive, high-performance work environment.
- Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on People & Culture matters.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- 10+ years of experience in senior People & Culture roles within the mining sector [or heavy industry] including leading teams.
- Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Psychology or related discipline.
- A proven track record of delivering impactful business outcomes through people-focused initiatives.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels, especially with senior leaders.
- A true generalist with demonstrated expertise in end-to-end employee lifecycle including attraction, selection and recruitment, performance management, remuneration, benefits & payroll, learning and development, employee and industrial relations and employee wellbeing.
- Strong communication skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and a passion for driving positive organisational change.
- Exceptional attention to detail with demonstrated experience in change management.
- A proactive, independent work ethic, capable of working autonomously and taking ownership of projects ensuring delivery.
