About the Company:
Our client is a well-established specialist in drilling solutions, with decades of industry experience across New Zealand. This is a full-time, hands-on Maintenance Technician position focused on the repair, maintenance, and fabrication of specialised drilling equipment across South Island operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabricating and maintaining heavy equipment, ensuring reliability and performance for field teams.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on drilling and support equipment
- Fabricate new parts and components as needed
- Assist in managing workshop inventory and materials
- Work closely with the operations team to align maintenance with project schedules
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised workshop environment
- Experience in equipment maintenance
- Strong fabrication and welding skills
- Good organisational and problem-solving ability
- A proactive, safety-conscious approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- $40 – $42 per hour
- Guaranteed 40–45 hour work weeks
- Daily shuttle from Hornby to Southbridge
- Supportive, close-knit team environment
- Work with a variety of unique and specialised equipment
