About the Client:

MACH Energy operates a modern, low-cost coal mining operation in the Hunter Valley, benefiting from a low strip ratio and an efficient fleet of excavators, trucks, and other essential mining equipment. They are continuously expanding their operations year in, year out, supported by significant infrastructure investments and strategic growth plans.
  
Mount Pleasant Operation is undergoing ongoing infrastructure upgrades, with major capital expenditure commitments in place. The operation is supported by leading contractors who play a pivotal role in maintaining efficiency and performance. With a secure tenure extending well into the future, the operation offers long-term stability and certainty.

About the Role:

Reporting to the CHPP Manager and working collaboratively with key stakeholders, the Maintenance & Reliability Engineer will be instrumental in overseeing the governance and management of the CHPP Operations and Maintenance contract. You will also drive the development and implementation of strategies to optimise asset performance and reliability.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of key responsibilities that support the performance, reliability, and governance of our CHPP operations. Your day-to-day will include:
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with contractors and stakeholders to ensure seamless CHPP operations
  • Manage critical spares governance and maintain the Asset Management Database to support site-wide infrastructure
  • Prepare and deliver capital project proposals, and coordinate maintenance and sustaining capital projects
  • Supervise contractors and lead risk assessments to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance delivery
To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering or related discipline or relevant qualifications
  • 3+ years experience in similar role (completion of graduate placement desirable)
  • Demonstrated performance in effective maintenance and maintenance planning on a mine site (CHPP maintenance is preferred)
  • Experience coordinating and supervising maintenance activities
  • Experience with developing and overseeing capital projects
  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation
  • Managing multiple processes across the planning and operational interfaces in a CHPP environment
