Due to significant growth and development, we are looking to expand our team of Machine Operators. We are a leading manufacturer of plastic pipe for agriculture, construction and utilities; and have multiple plants across New Zealand. Our Ashburton plant is looking for Operators for our night shift. The night shift operates 11:00PM – 07:00AM Monday – Friday. Please note that you must be able to commit to these hours moving forward.
Role Requirements:
- Setting up, monitoring & operating plastic pipe manufacturing machines
- Conducting quality assurance processes to ensure product standards
- Carry out die changes once production requirements have been met for each product
- Monitor configurations and products to ensure machines are fully utilised
- Completing production paperwork and records

Personal Attributes:
- Mechanical aptitude to form a basic understanding of the machines
- Good communication and able to work in a multicultural team environment
- Experience in a manufacturing role would be preferable
- Thorough with good attention to detail
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Interested in learning new things
- Physically able (as there will be some lifting required)
- Keen attitude to learn and get involved
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Forklift license would be preferred, however this is not essential
