Role:
We’re seeking experienced Machine Operators
to join a leading civil construction team working across the Canterbury region. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity
for operators who take pride in their work and want to be part of a professional, high-performing crew.
You’ll be operating a wide range of heavy machinery including excavators (up to 38T), bulldozers, scrapers, graders, compactors, and more—supporting projects in earthworks, land development, drainage, utilities, and rural infrastructure.
Our projects span commercial, residential, and council sectors, with specialist divisions tackling everything from deep drainage and Three Waters installations to farm maintenance and technical site works. You’ll be part of a team known for its “can-do” attitude and high standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery in civil construction
- Full Clean Class 1 licence with WTR (Class 2 preferred)
- Ability to work safely, efficiently, and independently
- Flexibility to work across varied terrain and project types
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- A commitment to quality workmanship
- Hourly rate of $28–$35 , depending on experience
- Access to a modern fleet including specialist and purpose-built machines
- Opportunity to work across multiple divisions and develop new skills
- Supportive team environment with potential for permanent employment
