We’re on the hunt for experienced Leading Hands
who can take the reins on-site, build high-quality retaining walls from start to finish, and lead small crews with confidence. If you’re hands-on, thrive outdoors, and know your way around a digger, this one’s for you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Full build of retaining walls – timber, quay stone, and block
- Operating machinery – especially diggers and augers for piling/drilling
- Reading plans and executing jobs to spec
- Managing the day-to-day site operations and liaising with clients
- Leading and working alongside the crew to get the job done right
- Proven experience building retaining walls from start to finish
- Strong machine operating skills (auger drilling/piling experience a bonus)
- Ability to interpret plans, manage materials, and run a tidy site
- Solid communicator – confident dealing with clients and contractors
- Full NZ driver’s licence (WTR endorsements preferred)
- $40–$48 per hour, depending on experience
- Company ute & tools provided
- Stable pipeline of quality work across Auckland
