Our client is an international resources company with a small but rapidly growing Brisbane office. We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Supervisor / Administrator to take ownership of their Brisbane office IT function.
  
This is a standalone role suited to someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and being the go-to person for all things IT. You’ll support a small local team while collaborating with site-based and international teams to ensure smooth, reliable operations across the business.
  
About the Role
  
As the sole IT contact in Brisbane, you will manage day-to-day IT operations while supporting broader infrastructure and systems across the business. You will work closely with a site-based IT Administrator in North Queensland and remote teams overseas.
  
This is a hands-on, generalist position covering everything from user support through to network and infrastructure management.
  
Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary IT support for the Brisbane office (under 25 users)
  • Provide desktop support, troubleshooting, and user assistance
  • Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 environment
  • Support and monitor network infrastructure including switching, Wi-Fi, and VPNs
  • Assist with setup and maintenance of Meraki networking and FortiGate firewalls
  • Manage dual ISP connections and ensure network reliability
  • Support AV systems including Teams and Zoom meeting rooms
  • Oversee cabling, UPS systems, and CCTV infrastructure
  • Collaborate with site-based and international IT teams on broader initiatives

Requirements
  • 4–7 years’ experience in a similar IT support or systems role
  • Strong generalist IT skillset across networking, systems, and end-user support
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, networking, and infrastructure environments
  • Exposure to technologies such as Meraki, FortiGate, VPNs, and AV systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Calm, organised, and solutions-focused approach
