I’m working with a highly regarded HVAC contractor in Canterbury to recruit a Commercial Supervisor to join their growing commercial team.
The Opportunity
This is a step-up role for someone who enjoys leading on site, coordinating people, and being the link between install teams, clients, and the office - without being stuck behind a desk all day. You’ll report directly to senior leadership and be well supported, with mentoring and structured development in place.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing day-to-day delivery of commercial HVAC projects from install through to handover.
- Guiding and supporting site teams, coordinating labour, and maintaining productivity and quality on site.
- Ensuring systems are installed to specification, meet performance outcomes, and comply with relevant standards.
- Acting as the on-site point of contact for clients, foremen, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Managing callbacks and follow-up works to maintain strong client relationships.

What We’re Looking For
- Solid commercial technical HVAC experience (essential)
- Confidence guiding and coordinating site teams
- Strong communication skills
- Someone who presents well and takes pride in their work
- Organised, proactive, and keen to step up
- Full, clean NZ driver’s licence
- Most importantly - a good attitude. Someone eager, hungry, and a good bugger to have on site and in the team.
