About the Role

Our client is an ASX-listed resources company with a strong foundation in the Australian market and an exciting future ahead. The business is experiencing renewed momentum, supported by recent asset acquisitions, increased operational activity, and a clear focus on sustainable growth.

Based primarily in the Brisbane CBD office, this permanent HR Manager role offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping how HR supports the business as it continues to evolve. Reporting directly to the CEO and COO, you will work closely with senior leadership and operational teams to support growth, strengthen capability, and embed practical, fit-for-purpose HR practices.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role that will suit an experienced HR Manager looking to be Brisbane-based more consistently, or a Senior HR Superintendent ready to step into a broader, business-facing position. Ad hoc site travel will be required to maintain strong relationships and ensure HR support remains aligned with operational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading HR activities across corporate and site-based teams
  • Partnering with the CEO, COO and senior leaders on workforce planning, performance and engagement
  • Providing practical employee relations support and guidance to leaders
  • Developing and embedding HR policies, procedures and compliance frameworks
  • Ensuring alignment with Fair Work and relevant employment legislation
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and workforce capability initiatives
  • Advising on remuneration, benefits and retention strategies
  • Supporting organisational growth, integration and change initiatives
  • Building strong, positive working relationships across the business
  • Managing external providers including legal, recruitment and payroll partners
About You

You are a positive, commercially minded HR professional who enjoys being close to the business and contributing to its success. You take a pragmatic approach, communicate clearly, and are comfortable balancing strategic input with hands-on delivery.

You are motivated by visibility, influence and the opportunity to grow alongside a business that is moving forward.

You will be well suited to this role if you have:
  • Experience as a HR Manager, Senior HR Business Partner, or Senior HR Superintendent
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation
  • Experience supporting operational or site-based environments
  • A hands-on, solutions-focused mindset
  • The ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders and operational teams
  • Clear, confident communication skills and sound judgement
  • Experience in mining, resources, construction or industrial environments is highly regarded
  • Flexibility to travel to site on an ad hoc basis
An attractive salary package will be negotiated with the successful candidate. This is a permanent, Monday to Friday role, based primarily in the Brisbane office.
