The Opportunity:
This is an opportunity to join a large, established mining services organisation supporting a multi-site workforce across Queensland. The business operates within a structured HR function, partnering closely with operational leaders to drive workforce performance, engagement, and compliance across both site and corporate teams.
Based in South Brisbane, you will have exposure to operations across the state, working within a fast-paced and high-performing environment. This is a short-term contract with an immediate start, offering full-time hours, Monday to Friday.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will provide hands-on, generalist HR support across a diverse, site-based workforce.
• Deliver generalist HR support across a diverse, site-based workforce
• Partner with operational leaders to provide practical HR advice and support
• Manage employee relations, performance, and conduct matters end-to-end
• Support workforce planning to ensure resourcing aligns with project demands
• Assist with recruitment and onboarding activities as required
• Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Maintain HR documentation, reporting, and employee records
• Support HR systems and contribute to ongoing process improvements
About you
You are an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment and can build strong relationships across all levels.
• Experience in a HR Advisor or HR Business Partner role
• Strong generalist HR capability across employee lifecycle and employee relations
• Experience supporting mining, resources, or heavy industry environments
• Confidence managing employee relations matters independently
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
• Available to start immediately or at short notice
