About the role:
We are seeking an HST Administrator to join the Health, Safety and Training (HST) team at Boggabri Coal Mine on a 12-month fixed term contract. Boggabri is an open cut coal operation producing up to 8.6 million tonnes per annum, with mine life extending through to 2036. Located near Boggabri, Gunnedah and Narrabri, the operation offers the opportunity to build a strong professional profile while enjoying the benefits of a regional lifestyle.

Reporting to the HST Superintendent, the HST Administrator provides administrative support to the Health, Safety and Training function, enabling the effective operation of HST systems, records and compliance processes in line with statutory, organisational and site requirements.

Working closely with site personnel, contractors, trainers and assessors, you will support the administration and maintenance of health, safety and training systems, records and processes. The role plays a key part in ensuring accurate record keeping, monitoring of training currency, supporting audits and reviews, and assisting with site inductions and training coordination. You will also support the effective operation of electronic document and records management systems across the site.

About you:

  • Administrative experience, ideally within mining or an operational environment
  •  Experience supporting compliance systems, record management and statutory processes
  • Understanding of health, safety and training compliance requirements
  • Experience using electronic document and records management systems
  •  Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  •  Ability to meet site access requirements including medical and D&A testing
