We’re currently working with a leading energy organisation who is looking for an experienced HSE Advisor – Outages to support major overhaul activities across power stations. This role is highly site-based and focused on safety leadership, contractor oversight, and risk management during outage execution. This is an owner-side position.
The Role
- Provide hands-on HSE support across major outage and maintenance works
- Promote a strong safety culture across project teams and contractors
- Support outage planning, contractor onboarding, and risk assessments
- Monitor high-risk activities including confined spaces, isolations, lifting, and working at heights
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and coordination
- Support incident response, investigations, and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and corporate standards
- Prepare daily and weekly HSE reports
- 10+ experience in HSE roles within industrial, energy, or construction environments
- Experience supporting outages, shutdowns, or major maintenance projects
- Strong understanding of high-risk work controls
- Confident influencing contractors and site teams
- Experience with incident investigations and compliance reporting
- Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety
- White Card, First Aid & CPR
- Valid driver’s licence
