About the Role
We’re partnered with a respected mining organisation who operates on a major mine site in the Emerald Region. With continued growth and key projects ahead, they’re seeking a proactive HR Business Partner to support the site HR function and deliver outcomes across culture, capability, and performance.
This role reports directly to the Human Resources Manager and works as part of a small, collaborative HR team. This is a contract position with possibility of exceeding 12 months coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR and employee relations support on site
- Partner with leaders to embed HR practices that support business objectives
- Support workforce planning, performance management, and development initiatives
- Contribute to enterprise agreement negotiations and broader HR projects
- Drive culture, wellbeing, and engagement initiatives
- Strong HR generalist background in operational environments
- Knowledge of Australian employment legislation and IR processes
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
- Proactive, adaptable, and confident working in a fast-paced environment
- Mining or heavy industry experience is essential
- Site-based role with real impact across people and culture
- FIFO from Brisbane to Emerald with competitive remuneration
- Be part of a small, supportive HR team
