Our client is seeking a skilled Heavy Machinery Operator with experience in leading a small team of 2-3 workers for a roading project in Tauranga. This role involves operating excavators and other heavy machinery, overseeing a team of 2-3 workers, and adhering to strict safety guidelines. This role involves dealing with runoff – so work is active over the rainy season!
Duties:
- Operating other heavy machinery
- Leading a small team of 2-3
- Ad hoc labouring duties
- Strictly following safety guidelines
- Maintaining a positive attitude
- Class 1 license essential
- WTR (Wheels, Tracks, Rollers) endorsement essential
- Site Safe or Construct Safe certification desirable
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
