We are excited to be partnering with a long-standing and highly respected engineering business that has been a cornerstone of the Hawke’s Bay region for over 70 years. With a reputation for quality, innovation, and reliability, they provide a full-service offering across structural steel fabrication, mechanical maintenance projects, and surface protection systems.
We are seeking a motivated Health, Safety & Systems Administrator to join a high-performing team to support and implement H&S functions.

About the Role
In this role you will work closely with Health & Safety & Systems Manager and Directors to deliver H&S inductions, compliance, training coordination, and support with site audits. You will help ensure safety practices are well understood and properly implemented throughout the business - both on-site and in the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administering H&S systems and SOP training records
  • Coordinating staff and contractor inductions
  • Supporting regular workshop and site inspections
  • Assisting with equipment tagging/testing coordination
  • Arranging random drug testing and health monitoring
  • Preparing documentation and maintaining job folders
  • Chemical emergency training for staff
About you
  • Proven experience in similar Health & Safety positions (2+ years minimum)
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain H&S systems and SOP training records
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a practical mindset
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work across multiple teams
  • Comfortable working in both office and industrial environments
  • A genuine commitment to promoting a strong safety culture
