About the Role:
As Site Safety Co-Ordinator, you’ll play a key role in promoting a safety-first culture across a major North Canterbury project. You’ll support operational continuity by implementing safety protocols, conducting inspections, educating staff and responding to incidents effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion Health & Safety best practices across the site
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks and inspections
- Complete and manage Lucidity safety documentation and reports
- Support investigations of incidents and near-misses
- Collaborate with teams to foster a safe and positive work environment
- Maintain accurate safety records and ensure compliance with legislation
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar safety role ideally in heavy industry or construction
- Passion for promoting safe work environments and educating others
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety frameworks and NZ legislation
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience with Lucidity or similar safety systems is an advantage
