The position will lead the enterprise-wide strategic sourcing operating across multiple major sites / assets. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving the One Supply Chain operating model and delivering standardised, data-driven, and commercially disciplined Source-to-Contract (S2C) processes across the business.
You will lead the sourcing team (approx. 25 personnel), set the strategic direction for sourcing, uplift capability across all assets, mature systems and data integration, and ensure robust governance that delivers sustainable value, risk reduction, and improved supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Drive the One Supply Chain operating model
- Lead the rollout of consistent, standardised S2C processes across all sites.
- Develop and execute category strategies that drive commercial value
- Align enterprise sourcing processes with global procurement standards.
- Shape future workforce design, sourcing capability, and operating structures.
- Own and embed the enterprise Category Strategy framework.
- Lead multi-year category strategies across all major spend areas.
- Consolidate categories across sites to capture scale and reduce fragmentation.
- Identify commercial value through competition, negotiation, design, modelling, and risk reduction.
- Manage the end-to-end sourcing pipeline, ensuring transparency and clear value delivery.
- Enforce sourcing governance, competitive thresholds, negotiation protocols and award governance.
- Ensure compliance with DoA, Procurement Policy, legal requirements, and contract templates.
- Lead supplier, market and operational risk management.
- Oversee high-value, sensitive, or complex commercial matters.
- Supplier Performance Management
- Enhance analytics maturity, including Power BI dashboards for spend, contract coverage and compliance.
- Develop and mentor sourcing teams across multiple assets.
- Embed a culture of transparency, accountability and commercial discipline.
- Build capability in negotiation, modelling, commercial governance and stakeholder engagement.
Key experience and skills
- 10+ years in strategic sourcing, commercial or contract management within mining or oil & gas
- Proven experience leading enterprise-wide sourcing programs across multiple categories/sites.
- Strong track record in developing and executing multi-year category strategies.
- Senior leadership capability with the ability to influence executives.
- Proficient with SAP MM/S4, Coupa or equivalent procurement platforms.
- Advanced commercial analysis, cost modelling and evaluation capability.
- Experience improving data quality, systems utilisation and S2C process integration.
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Supply Chain, Engineering, Law or related discipline.
- Experience in large-scale transformation, operating model redesign or systems standardisation.
