This is a role for a senior operations leader ready to step into a GM title. Not for a long-established GM looking for another executive seat.
If you’re already a General Manager earning north of $200k base and looking for a like-for-like role, this isn’t it. Base Salary will likely fall in the high 1's (dependent on experience).
This opportunity is aimed squarely at an Operations Manager / Head of Manufacturing / Senior Operations Leader who wants ownership, accountability and a GM title and is prepared to earn it through execution.
What you’re accountable for
- Running manufacturing operations within budget (circa $10m production budget)
- Delivering manufacturing excellence through hands-on leadership
- Building team capability and operational discipline
- Driving continuous improvement, seeing problems, creating solutions and seeing them through to the end.
This role needs someone who:
- Can run reports, interpret data and see cost and capacity risks early
- Understands the commercial reality of production and can work closely with Sales
- Knows when “we have the work, but not the people / capacity / equipment” etc.
- Finds problems and finishes the solution
Essentials
- Engineering degree (essential)
- Heavy Metals Manufacturing background (preferred)
- Strong manufacturing operations background
- Experience managing significant operational budgets
- Proven project management capability
- Comfortable leading from the floor, the meeting room and the data
