General Hands Needed!
Potential follow-on work in Palmerston North | Temp role with long-term potential
We’re looking for a hands-on General Hand to join the crew for a project based in Brynderwyn, Northland. This is a great opportunity to work on a key infrastructure job, with the potential to roll into additional bridge projects near Palmerston North. If you’re keen to get involved in physical work, work well in a team, and bring a good attitude to site each day — we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting piling operations
- Assisting with installing temporary bridge support works
- Using hand tools like drills and grinders
- Helping with bolt tightening to torque
- Taking on general labouring duties as needed
- Following all health and safety guidelines
- Pitching in as part of a small, hardworking team
- Previous experience in general labour or similar roles
- Piling experience (a big plus!)
- Site Safe or Construct safe - Must have
- Slinging and lifting experience preferred
- EWP certification would be helpful
- $28 – $36 per hour (depending on experience)
- $75/night tax-free living-away food allowance (Mon–Fri)
- Flights and 2-week rotation covered for Palmerston North jobs (if you're interested in continuing)
- Work starting June 23 or June 30
- Temp role with the potential to go permanent for the right person
