About the role:
Join a Hawkes Bay leading concrete and landscaping specialist, where you'll perform all carpentry preparation for concrete pours, using building plans and diagrams to determine proper dimensions, shape, and design of form structures. Your boxing will be ready prior to each pour, ensuring smooth, on-time project delivery.
Hours: Approximately 45 hours Per Week.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Measure, cut, assemble, install, align, and secure timber, plywood, and metal formwork
- Ensure formwork is level, aligned, and securely braced
- Strip and dismantle formwork once concrete has set
- Take accurate measurements and cut materials for pod and waffle slab foundations
- 2+ years of carpentry experience (or partway through apprenticeship)
- Experience with pod/waffle slab foundations
- Experience with various concrete placement and finishing techniques
- Strong understanding of the New Zealand Building Code
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Current, clean NZ driver’s license
