ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Finance Business Partner, you will be the key conduit between Finance and the wider organisation. You’ll provide business leaders with accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and proactive recommendations to support strategic planning and performance improvement.
In this role you’ll work closely with multiple business units, dive into margin performance, analyse cost drivers, and provide strategic advice that directly shapes operational and commercial outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, collaboration, and influencing financial thinking across the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Business Partnering
- Partner with business unit leaders to interpret financial performance and deliver actionable insights.
- Analyse revenue, margins, and cost drivers to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide strategic recommendations to support planning, pricing, investment decisions, and productivity initiatives.
- Translate complex financial information into clear, meaningful commentary.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, dashboards, and variance analysis.
- Lead month‑end processes including accruals, journals, and reconciliations.
- Enhance reporting frameworks to improve visibility of business performance.
- Lead or support the annual budgeting cycle and rolling forecasts.
- Deliver financial modelling and scenario analysis to support business decision‑making.
- Serve as a finance/ERP systems superuser, driving optimisation and reporting improvements.
- Maintain accurate cost centre structures and commercial records.
- Champion continuous improvement and automation opportunities.
- Maintain up‑to‑date registers for contracts, pricing schedules, and supplier and customer terms.
- Monitor renewal timelines and ensure financial accuracy across commercial agreements.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal controls.
- Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.
- 3–5 years’ experience in management accounting, commercial finance, or business partnering.
- CA / CPA (or equivalent) qualified.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to think commercially.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/finance systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence to speak up, challenge constructively, and influence decisions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and explain insights clearly.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
