Position Overview:
We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious Excavator Operators experienced in operating heavy mobile equipment such as Caterpillar and Hitachi gear. This role plays a critical part in supporting production and site operations within a structured and safety-focused environment. The successful candidates will work closely with Supervisors and Mine Operations Coordinators to maintain operational efficiency while adhering to rigorous safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate mining excavators from 300 tonne and above such as Hitachi 3600/5600 or CAT 6060
- Collaborate with Supervisors and Mine Operations Coordinators to support production and site activities
- Ensure compliance with all site safety policies, procedures, and operational standards
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required
- Valid Class C manual driver’s licence
- Relevant qualifications and experience for operating mining excavators
- Ability to successfully pass medical assessments and drug & alcohol screening
- Competitive remuneration package - approximately $144,000 plus superannuation
