This permanent CIVIL ESTIMATOR role will see you based at head office near Cockburn in Perth, where you will join a high-quality team to focus on preparing “first-principle” estimates using MS Excel spreadsheets. You will lead the pricing of civils and earthworks projects typically valued up to $5-10M so ideally you will have previously priced similar sized projects for other civil contractors. You will be required to review and interpret 12D design information from clients, to use in estimates. This role supports the senior management team to identify preferred projects and price them accurately to ensure minimization of risk and maximization of returns, so you will be a critical contributor to the future success of the business. A lucrative salary is on offer up to $150-170K Base + Super (*based on experience).
Skills, Experience and Other Requirements:
- Approximately 5 years’ as ESTIMATOR or SENIOR ESTIMATOR for civil/roads/pavements/earthworks contractors and projects in Australia
- Proven “first principle” estimating experience
- High level competence using Microsoft Excel software to formulate accurate tender pricing
- Successful track record pricing winning bids for Civils and Earthworks tenders on civil construction and earthworks projects in Australia
- Strong attention to detail with excellent literacy and numeracy
- Effective all-round communication skills, ability to work autonomously and high levels of motivation
- Currently Perth based (*ideally residing south of the river) with existing rights to live and work in Australia
