We’re working with a well-resourced Australian mining company that’s developing a gold mine near Reefton on the West Coast. As operations scale up, they’re looking for a qualified Electrical Superintendent to join their team and take ownership of all electrical works on site.
This is a hands-on leadership role that will suit someone with a strong background in mining or tunneling and a deep understanding of high-voltage systems, compliance, and contractor management.
What’s involved:
You’ll be responsible for overseeing electrical installations, maintenance, and commissioning across the site, ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with New Zealand’s electrical and mining regulations. You’ll work closely with the site leadership team, contractors, and external inspectors to ensure standards are met and downtime is minimised.
To be considered, you’ll need:
- Proven experience in mining, tunneling, or heavy industrial settings as an Electrician
- A current CoC (or eligibility to obtain one through EWRB)
- An Electrical Inspector Endorsement (or actively working toward one)
- Solid understanding of New Zealand Electrical Regulations, HV/LV systems, and risk-based electrical safety practices
- Experience managing teams or subcontractors on high-risk sites
- A proactive, safety-first approach and strong communication skills
This is your chance to be part of a legacy project! Apply now or get in touch for a confidential chat.
