My client is seeking an experienced Qualified Drain Layer to manage a small crew and complete various maintenance works and projects across Canterbury. the ideal candidate will have a vast knowledge of 3 waters, drainage and small civil works. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and leading a small crew
- Excavating trenches and laying pipes according to project requirements
- Operating heavy machinery including excavators, rollers and loaders
- Communicating with Managers and construction teams to meet targets (Daily, weekly and key milestones)
- Have 2-5 years of New Zealand based experience in civil and residential and/or storm water systems
- Hold a Certified Drainlayer ticket and be CCC authorised (Preferred)
- Ideally have W, T, and R endorsements
- Hold a clean full class 1 or 2 NZ Driver’s License,
- Have good written and verbal communication skill
- Be able to pass all pre-employment checks
- Have a solid work ethic and be able to work well within a team
