The Role You will be responsible for operating excavators on civil construction projects including trenching, drainage, and general earthworks. The role requires a strong focus on safety, productivity, and working effectively alongside ground crews and other machinery operators.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating excavators safely and efficiently on civil sites (up to 14T)
- Trenching for drainage, services, and utilities
- Bulk earthworks, site preparation, and backfilling
- Working closely with spotters and ground crews
- Daily machine checks and basic maintenance
- Maintaining a strong commitment to health and safety
- Proven experience operating excavators in civil construction
- Ability to work night shifts reliably
- Experience with trenching and services work preferred
- Relevant licences and endorsements (Must have a WTR )
- Strong awareness of site safety and teamwork
- Reliable transport to get to site.
- $30-$33 per hour + 8% Holiday Pay (Weekly pay)
