We are looking for a skilled professional with strong diagnostic ability, solid mechanical knowledge and hands‑on experience with modern vehicle
electronics for our client who is based in South Auckland near the Airport.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, including hybrid and EV platforms.
This role requires a technician with strong technical confidence, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently across advanced electrical and mechanical systems, performing complex diagnostics and a wide range of mechanical repairs across multiple brands.
What We're Looking For
- Local technician with current NZ working rights
- Minimum 3 years' workshop experience across diagnostics, mechanical repairs and maintenance
- Strong ability to perform complex fault finding , including wiring, sensors, modules and network systems
- Proven experience with wiring harnesses, electrical systems, and electronic components across Hybrid & EV vehicles
- High attention to detail & the ability to work autonomously while contributing to a high‑performing team
- Auto electrical knowledge and experience on hybrid & EV vehicles , as well as petrol and diesel engines
- In‑depth understanding of electronics, wiring harnesses, and diagnostic procedures
- Expert in servicing and maintenance of automotive air conditioning systems
- At least Level 4 in Automotive Engineering
- Experience working across multiple brands , including VW, Audi, and Holden
- Mon – Fri 8am – 5pm (no weekend work)
