Development Manager | High-Rise Residential Project | Gold Coast
 
We are currently partnering with a well-established builder/developer on the Gold Coast who are looking to appoint a Development Manager.
 
This role will take ownership of a multi-residential project consisting of 30+ apartments across 12 levels, along with a few townhouses, with construction due to commence in May and a projected 15-month build.
 
This is a key position within the business, offering long-term stability and the opportunity to contribute to a growing pipeline of developments.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from acquisition through to delivery, including planning, approvals, registration and settlements
  • Oversee plan sealing processes including council submissions, titles, surveyor requirements and legal documentation
  • Coordinate all project approvals including early works, operational works, plumbing, Energex, QFES and certifier requirements
  • Collate and manage consultant documentation for submissions and ongoing design coordination
  • Drive design change processes, ensuring all consultants and site teams are aligned and updated
  • Liaise with financiers including statutory declarations, sales reporting and QS documentation for claims
  • Manage Body Corporate requirements including contracts of sale, levies and attendance at general meetings
  • Contribute to project feasibility, cashflow management and acquisition assessments
  • Work closely with internal sales and marketing teams on project branding and strategy
  • Attend and lead consultant and stakeholder meetings throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements
  • 4+ years' experience delivering high-rise residential projects
  • Understanding of town planning and authority approval processes
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across consultants, site teams and external bodies
  • High level of organisation with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to take on feedback and contribute to team outcomes
