Role Overview:
You will be responsible for monitoring your client’s receivable ledgers, managing accounts that are due, and proactively addressing potential credit risks to ensure timely payments. This includes maintaining accurate records and fostering positive customer relationships. The role requires excellent communication skills, persistence, and a customer-focused approach to credit management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contact customers via phone calls, to manage accounts due for payment
- Proactively engage in friendly and professional communications with clients and colleagues
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements that are acceptable to both the company and the debtor
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all collection activities and customer interactions
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Experienced in debt collection, accounts receivable, call centre (an advantage)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding collection targets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with computer systems and collection software
- Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally and empathetically
