About the role
As a Class 4 Truck Driver you’ll play a key part in supporting civil construction projects across Tauranga. Your main responsibility will be transporting materials from the quarry to various sites, using a 6 or 8-wheeler truck with a split gearbox (4-over-4) - or ideally, a Road Ranger.
This role is hands-on and fast-paced, perfect for someone who takes pride in their driving, understands the importance of truck care, and can work well with site crews. You’ll be expected to perform tipping and spreading tasks on-site and ensure your vehicle is kept in top condition.
Duties
- Driving a 6 or 8-wheeler Class 4 truck (split gearbox or Road Ranger)
- Transporting metal and materials from quarry to site
- Performing tipping and spreading on civil sites
- Keeping the truck clean, maintained, and compliant
- $27.50–$30/hr depending on experience + 8% holiday pay
- Local work - home every night
- Immediate start - no waiting around
- Ongoing, full-time hours
- Supportive team with a strong safety culture
- Civil driving experience – not just freight
- Confident with man ual gearboxes (split or Road Ranger)
- Strong understanding of tr uck care and pre-start checks
- Reliable, detail-focused, and safety-conscious
