Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Development (70%):
- Identify and target potential clients through market research, networking, and cold calling.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve new business targets.
- Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
- Negotiate and close new business deals, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Attend industry events and trade shows to generate leads and build relationships.
- Account Management (30%):
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products and services.
- Conduct regular client meetings to review performance, address concerns, and provide solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and support.
- General Duties:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to stay informed.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
- Contribute to the development of marketing materials and campaigns.
- Provide training and support to junior sales team members.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within the equipment hire or forklift industry.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, negotiation techniques, and customer relationship management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
