Job Summary:
The Boiler Attendant is responsible for operating, maintaining, and monitoring boilers to ensure a steady steam supply for meat processing operations. This includes routine inspections, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain steam boilers and auxiliary equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance and report any faults.
- Monitor pressure, temperature, and water levels for optimal performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Maintain records of boiler operations and water treatment.
- Support general maintenance tasks as needed.
- Boiler Operation Certification (e.g. Boiler Attendant’s Certificate)
- Experience in an industrial or food processing environment - preferred
- Understanding of workplace health and safety regulations
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in conditions that include exposure to heat, steam, and industrial noise.
