A leading name in remedial construction is seeking experienced Industrial Painters/Blasters for a short-term assignment at the Wivenhoe Dam. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a high-profile infrastructure project with potential for future work.
About the Role:
This project involves working on-site Monday to Friday, with optional Saturday shifts. Days will run for approximately 10.5 hours. The project is scheduled to kick off in mid to late August.
Key Duties
- Surface Prep: Clean and prepare surfaces for coating, ensuring optimal adhesion
- Application: Apply protective coatings using airless, conventional, and plural component spray systems
- Blasting: Operate abrasive blasting equipment safely and effectively
- Quality Checks: Inspect completed work and perform touch-ups to meet high standards
- Proven experience in industrial painting and blasting
- Trade qualifications highly regarded
- Physically fit and safety-conscious
- Reliable transport or residence near Wivenhoe Dam
- Strong work ethic and a team-first attitude
- All tools and equipment supplied
- Weekly pay cycle
- Long-sleeved workwear, pants, and steel-capped boots required
