What You’ll Be Doing:
- Safely handle, transport, and load explosives in accordance with safety regulations
- Load blast holes following blast designs and instructions from the Shotfirer
- Assist with setting up and connecting blasting circuits or initiation systems
- Maintain blast site safety, including clearing and monitoring exclusion zones
- Conduct basic inspections before and after blasts (e.g. checking for misfires)
- Support Drill & Blast team in executing planned blast activities efficiently
- A current open C class manual vehicle license
- SSAN Licence
- Std 11, QLD Coal Board Medical
- Well-developed communication skills and an ability to interact with staff at all levels
- 7/7 Roster – Consistent schedule with time to recharge
- Comfortable On-Site Accommodation Available
- Hourly rate up to $60 p/h
