Based in Fortitude Valley, this role is primarily office-based while offering flexibility to work from home. You’ll gain valuable exposure to fixed assets, general ledger reconciliations, and financial reporting within a supportive, high-performance team.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to support a busy finance team with day-to-day accounting functions. You’ll gain hands-on experience across fixed assets, reporting, and reconciliations, while working alongside experienced finance professionals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting fixed asset acquisitions, transfers, and disposals
• Processing journals, accruals, debtors, and creditors
• Completing general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with profit & loss, management, and financial reporting
• Ensuring compliance with governance, policies, and standards

• 6-Month Contract, Full-Time

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Desire to progress towards CA/CPA qualification
• Previous exposure to fixed assets (advantageous)
• Strong Excel skills and general ledger reconciliation experience
• Excellent communication, analytical, and time management skills
• Self-motivation with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• ERP experience is desirable but not essential
