The Company :
Stellar Recruitments Civil Division is working closely with a respected Mid Tier Civil Contractor who are a household name across the industry with deep relationships operating for 40+ years across Queensland. Not known for delivering projects in the hundreds of millions, but consistently delivering positive outcomes for all stakeholders when delivering projects, typically TMR, local council, developers and asset owners. Their sweet spot is road and intersection upgrades, bridge and structures works, drainage packages, urban works and mining infrastructure. They have never been one to “Project Hire”, and pride themselves on bringing great people into the business and investing in and developing them. They are now looking for an Area Manager , to lead and manage there project portfolio across the Bowen Basin.
  
The Role :
This role is flexible on where it can be based (eg Brisbane, Mackay, Gladstone) and will see you travel to sites regularly in line with project demands. This role will suit a strong Project Manager who is looking to work with an established contractor known for delivering quality projects across the region. You will be directly mentored and supported by proven and respected industry peers .

In this role, you will manage multiple Project Managers, ensuring project success and developing and maintaining relationships. Project value typically ranges between $5m - $40m to include haul and road construction, TSF construction, flood levees and other water, services and infrastructure projects within mining.
  
The Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent
• Strong site based experience carrying projects through their full cycle
• Previous experience delivering mining infrastructure projects.
• Strong at building and managing programs with commercial awareness.
• A team player who wants positive project outcomes
