We are seeking an Application Engineer for their Larapinta, Brisbane Head Office who takes pride in getting it right the first time , thrives in an innovative environment  and applies a methodical approach to solving engineering challenges - particularly when working directly with clients and converting technical conversations into real commercial outcomes.

• Develop and present conceptual designs, engineered solutions and proposals that are accurate, practical and aligned with client needs.
• Apply your expertise across design, drafting, compliance and technical client support.
• Engage directly with clients across defence, mining, infrastructure and energy, clarifying requirements, pitching solutions and influencing outcomes.
• Deliver CAD models, calculations and FEA reports using Solid Edge and Femap.
• Manage the full cycle of technical opportunities, from initial client pitch through to project delivery and close.
• Ensure all outputs strictly comply with engineering standards and quality systems.
• Support prototype testing, validation and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum five years’ CAD and design experience within mechanical engineering or metal fabrication.
• Proficiency in Solid Edge and Femap.
• Demonstrated ability to sell technical solutions, building strong client relationships and converting opportunities into results.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills with proven capability in calculations, compliance and engineering documentation.
