Mikayla brings a diverse and well-rounded background to her role as Health & Safety Coordinator at Stellar. After completing school, she broadened her horizons with a move to London, where she worked as a teacher aide, an experience that sparked her passion for helping others and laid the foundation for her people-first approach to safety.

 

Upon returning home to New Zealand, Mikayla gained valuable experience in the financial sector as a telephone collector for a debt collection agency in Wellington. She then spent five years working within government agencies, where she developed a strong understanding of compliance, risk, and public service.

 

Mikayla holds a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and has hands-on experience in risk assessment and as a Health and Safety Representative. Her practical knowledge, combined with her commitment to fostering safe and supportive work environments, makes her a key asset to the Stellar team in Auckland.

 

In addition to her core role, Mikayla is an active member of Stellar’s Environmental Social Governance (ESG) Committee, where she contributes to initiatives that promote sustainability, ethical practices, and community engagement across the business.
