They now have an IMMEDIATE need to appoint a civil SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER to their high-performance team in WA.
About the Role
As SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER you will be working FIFO 2/1 on a major minesite civil infrastructure project in WA’s Pilbara region. You will help lead the planning, management and delivery of a major package of civil construction works (*including bulk earthworks/civils/structures) and provide technical guidance to the construction delivery team. Also as SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER you will lead and mentor younger engineers, and ensure adherence to financial and contractual parameters during delivery stages. This will involve programming & scheduling the works, weekly and monthly reporting, “cost to complete” forecasting and managing budgets. This role requires proven FIFO experience in a similar SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER role on Bulk Earthworks in the Pilbara, and/or civil and structural FRP projects in an industrial construction environment with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors (*not EPCM or Client Side). An extremely attractive remuneration package of CIRCA $170-190K Base + 30% Site Uplift & Super will be offered to you as the successful candidate.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil/Structural Engineering or similar
6+ years’ post graduate construction experience as Project Engineer/SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER for prominent civil contractors in Australia
Previous experience managing large bulk earthworks packages in the Pilbara and/or major concrete FRP/civil scopes on mining/industrial projects
Strong contractual and commercial acumen
Willingness and ability to undertake 2/1 FIFO roster (ex-Perth/WA only)
Natural leadership skills and ability to manage client interface
WA based with existing rights to work in Australia
Available within 4 weeks’ notice period
