Stellar has partnered with an end-to-end construction and land development specialist delivering high-quality residential, commercial, industrial, and subdivision projects across New Zealand. Our client manages the full scope of development work.
Due to growth they are looking for a experienced Development/Construction Manager to lead the initiation, management, and completion of commercial & residential property development projects.
This position is across both residential & commercial construction developments, to be successful you will need experience across both sectors.
To be successful in this position you will have 7+ years property development in New Zealand
** Please note, this position is based in the Hawkes Bay and will require relocation**
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead end-to-end development projects from feasibility and due diligence through to completion.
- Build strong relationships with consultants, contractors, councils, and investors.
- Oversee design and construction delivery to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
- Negotiate and manage development agreements and construction contracts
- Manage risks and resolve issues to maintain project momentum
- Identify and secure strategic development opportunities aligned with market demand
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience in property development or construction project management.
- Strong knowledge of the New Zealand property market and development processes.
- Experience managing feasibility, design, consenting, construction, and handover.
- Financial modelling, budgeting, and cost control expertise.
